Lohardaga

The word Lohardaga made of two hindi words, Lohar meaning ‘ironmonger’, and Daga meaning center’, which makes the literal meaning of Lohardaga as ‘center of iron mining’. The district is situated in the south western part of Jharkhand State between 23°30′ and 23°40′ north latitudes and 84°40′ and 84°50′ east longitudes.

Mid Day Meal, state-of-the art, centralized kitchen has been installed in Chiri, Kuru block with the help of Hindalco, a group of Aaditya Birla to feed more than 35000 school children.

Implementation of mid-day meal programme is an incredible attempt of Govt. of India .To enhance literacy rate in rural area, was implemented with objectives of the programme to protect the student from the class room hunger, increasing school enrolment and attendance, addressing mal nutrition and social empowerment through provision of employment to women’s.

Chaibasa

At present Chaibasa is in West Singhbhum district with 15 blocks and two administrative Sub-divisions. The district is full of hills alternating with valleys, steep mountains, and deep forests on the mountain slopes. The district contains one of the best Sal forests and the SARANDA ( seven hundred hills) forest area is known world over.

More than 1 lakh children will be benefited under the pilot project of Mid Day Meal, through, centralized kitchen. The kitchen has been sponsored by Tata Steel Ltd under CSR.
