Vision: Our vision is to serve nutritious and sanctified high quality food to the underprivileged children in India. In line with the objectives of the Mid Day Meal project our Goal is to increase enrolment in schools, reduce malnutrition and ensure no child is deprived of an Education due to Poverty and Hunger.Annamrita Foundation is a non-profit organization that runs on a public-private partnership (PPP) model. We act as an implementing partner of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, there is a firm support from the Government of India, the State Governments and associated organizations.We reach to 1.2 Million children in 20 locations across 7 states of India, providing them with freshly hot cooked meal on school days. Our target to reach the figure of 2.0 million children by 2021. Mid day Meal – The Mid day Meal Scheme is a school meal program of the Government of India designed to better the nutritional standing of school-age children across India. The program supplies free lunches on working days for children in primary and upper primary classes in government, government aided, and Madarsa . Annamrita Foundation plays an important role in the expansion of the Mid Day Meal Scheme. The organization has its presence in 20 kitchens across India. All kitchens are quality ISO certified. Cooking standards are so stringent that first hand that touches the food is the child’s hand when he or she starts to eat.
We are promoting education through introduction of smart classes in government run schools, where standard and quality of education is not satisfactory. Smart class helps children to grasp the subject matter easily, particularly when either teachers are not available or are not qualified in the remote areas of the nation.
Looking at the huge challenge to eradicate malnutrition and illiteracy a lot of dedicated efforts in terms of Time, energy, recourses and finance are required
