Annamrita Foundation (Formerly known as ISKCON Food Relief Foundation) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Mumbai, India. We strive to eliminate hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government schools and government-aided schools. Annamrita Foundation also aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.

Since 2004, Annamrita Foundation has been putting all its efforts towards providing fresh, nutritious and hot meals to children on every single school day. The state-of-the-art kitchens have attracted number of curious visitors across the country.

The Government of India and State Governments are our partners, support from corporates houses, individual donors, and well-wishers have helped us to feed 1.2 million children.

Vision: Our vision is to serve nutritious and sanctified high quality food to the underprivileged children in India. In line with the objectives of the Mid Day Meal project our Goal is to increase enrolment in schools, reduce malnutrition and ensure no child is deprived of an Education due to Poverty and Hunger.Annamrita Foundation is a non-profit organization that runs on a public-private partnership (PPP) model. We act as an implementing partner of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, there is a firm support from the Government of India, the State Governments and associated organizations.We reach to 1.2 Million children in 20 locations across 7 states of India, providing them with freshly hot cooked meal on school days. Our target to reach the figure of 2.0 million children by 2021. Mid day Meal – The Mid day Meal Scheme is a school meal program of the Government of India designed to better the nutritional standing of school-age children across India. The program supplies free lunches on working days for children in primary and upper primary classes in government, government aided, and Madarsa . Annamrita Foundation plays an important role in the expansion of the Mid Day Meal Scheme. The organization has its presence in 20 kitchens across India. Quality and Food Safety are the first and foremost elements at each of the Annamrita kitchens. From our past experience, we have implemented various norms in every area of operations and service delivery. We have third party systems to review the quality of the mid-day meals we prepare for children. Employee Health and Safety activities are conducted every year to increase hygiene standards and improve the quality.
